Welcome to this course on Environmental Degradation. As Earth faces more and more profound changes caused by humanity, understanding the causes and effects of environmental degradation has become increasingly important. The prerequisites for this course are minimal, however some basic knowledge of ecology, earth sciences and basic math would be beneficial. An interest in the environment and a willingness to learn about the current state of the environment, the causes of environmental degradation, and the efforts being made to address these issues is required. No prior experience in environmental science is necessary, but a general understanding of science concepts would be beneficial. Additionally, basic computer skills and internet access will be required for some online resources and assignments.
